STFU, Conservatives: We should ban life jackets and other flotation devices. They only encourage risky behavior. The only 100% effective way... → stfuconservatives.net

You should see drowning as a gift.

US Blogger Accuses Filipino Senator of Plagiarism → abcnews.go.com

elaconstantina:

Way to embarrass your own country on an international level, Mr. Senator Tito Sotto. You don’t deserve the title of “Senator”; you don’t deserve the platform that the job gives you, you don’t deserve the paycheck, and you don’t deserve the ability to decide how Philippines should work and what its people need, because you are clueless. You are ignorant, misguided and arrogant.

You have no idea the scale of which your stupidity can do damage. You abuse your undeserved title by getting up there, on national TV, lying through your teeth so as to block a bill that the country so desperately needs, and for what? Because your religion tells you it’s bad? Because, somehow, more than half the nation living below the poverty line, families with ten kids and a dollar to live on each day, children half naked and sleeping on the streets, 11 maternal deaths a day, these are not examples of the poor state the country is in? Because, somehow, none of those things are warning bells that people are lacking in knowledge of how NOT to produce babies when they can’t afford it? Because the quality of life kids born into poverty live does not matter, as long as you can sleep at night knowing you didn’t do anything to piss your local bishop off?

And to top it all off, you and your people didn’t even have the intellect to write your own shit?

On top of every negative press the Philippines has been getting, we now get to be known as the nation that elected an unqualified, (bad) comedian who obviously has no regard for copyright laws, women’s health, and improving the quality of life the people of his country live. Because of you and so many others like you, the rest of the world doesn’t know about the potential the Philippines has to be such a great country, because idiots like you are the ones that represent us.

Filipino voters, get it together and don’t re-elect this buffoon - just because someone’s popular and on TV it doesn’t mean that they know what’s best for everyone, or that they even have the brain cells to know what’s best for themselves. Obviously, Tito Sotto doesn’t, because it didn’t even appeal to him to say a) remind his staff and LAWYER that plagiarism is very, very bad and b) remind himself that actions speak a whole lot louder than (stolen) words.

I mean, really.

Reblogging for the sake of supporting the RH Bill (and pissing off a conservatard classmate of mine opposing the bill)
